Overview
For the European Capital of Democracy 2025, I created the official campaign video, designing all visual assets, animations and the final edit. The video aimed to introduce the initiative to a wide audience, highlighting its purpose of strengthening democracy across Europe in an engaging and accessible way.

Research
I studied the European Capital of Democracy’s mission, values, and previous campaign materials to ensure the video aligned with the organization’s tone and purpose. The 2024 campaign video served as a key reference, helping me analyze structure, pacing, and communication style, while I explored new design opportunities to create a fresh and updated 2025 edition.
Design
I created all visual assets, including illustrations, icons, and graphic elements, before moving into animation. Using Adobe After Effects, I designed transitions, motion graphics and a clear narrative flow. Careful attention was given to timing, pacing and typography to ensure the video communicated effectively both online and during events.
Results
The final video successfully presented the European Capital of Democracy 2025, capturing the initiative’s mission in a clear, engaging and visually consistent way. It was distributed through official channels and used in events, helping to build awareness and strengthen the campaign’s reach. This project highlighted my ability to lead a motion design project from concept to delivery, combining design, storytelling and technical execution.
